About Powerfunk Records and Management

Based in Darwin, capital of the tropical North of Australia, Powerfunk Records and Management signify the fertile music scene of the region. In a place where live bands equals wild dancing, Powerfunk’s artists live for live performance, and their music is played for sheer delight. The releases of Powerfunk aim to capture this live feel in the studio so that you feel like you’re always right there at the concert.

The outfit was established on the turn of the millennium with the release of Neo Darwinism, which subsequently sold over two thousand copies. Powerfunk has since released a further two live albums, another studio album, a single and two video clips.

Powerfunk’s means of joy is derived from album production. Powerfunk has self recorded and produced two studio albums for NEO, Darwinism and Serotonin, as well as a live album by Jigsaw: Live Jazz. These albums have been marketed and sold locally, nationally and internationally. A minor tertiary income stream is derived through sales of merchandise.
